Korean-Style Short Ribs (Very Good)

  • 4 lbs. short ribs, beef
  • 1 1/2 cloves or pieces of grated ginger
  • 3 stalks of green onion
  • 2 cloves garlic or 2 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp. toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 c. soyu
  • 6 Tbsp. brown sugar

Combine all ingredients, mix thoroughly, add short ribs and soak for 20 to 30 minutes in sauce. Brown ribs in broiler or in frying pan. Place in casserole dish, cover with sauce and bake, covered, for 1 hour in a 325 degree oven.
