Korean Barbecue Meat
- 1½ lbs. tenderloin or round steak
- ¼ cup shoyu
- 3 tbsp. salad or sesame oil
- 3 tbsp. sesame seed (browned & pulverized)
- 2 tbsp. sugar (add more if desired)
- 1/3 cup chopped onion
- 4 tbsp. chopped green onions
- 1/3 tsp. minced garlic
- ¼ tsp. black pepper
- 1/3 tsp. chopped ginger
- 1 tsp. monosodium glutamate
Cut and trim meat into pieces 3 x 4 x 1/3 inch thick. Pound meat and score with knife, slashing lengthwise and crosswise. Combine rest of ingredients with meat and mix thoroughly. Let stand for 1 hour or more. Broil immediately.
