Kinpira Gobo #2
- Gobo – approximately 18″ long
- 2 tbsp. oil
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 3 tbsp. shoyu
- 1 chili pepper
- 1 tbsp. dashinomoto
- ½ tsp. monosodium glutamate
Scrape skin off gobo and wash. Cut into 2″ pieces then to matchstick size. Soak in water for ½ hour. Drain well. Heat oil in frying pan, chop pepper and fry. Turn heat on high, add gobo and stir fry. Add seasoning and cook till dry at medium heat.
