Kinpira Gobo

  • 1 linguisa (Portuguese sausage)
  • 2 tbsp dry shrimp
  • 6 cup gobo, thinly cut into strips
  • 3 tbsp sugar, raw
  • 2 to 3 tbsp shoyu
  • ¼ tsp. monosodium glutamate
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. vegetable oil

Cut the gobo into strips and soak in water about 15 minutes. Drain. Cook the linguisa in oil and add the dry shrimps. Then add the gobo and cook 8 to 10 minutes.

Add the sugar, shoyu, MSG and salt. Mix and cook about 5 minutes.

Add few drops of tabasco sauce if desired. Servings: 8-10;
