Hot Shrimp Shells
- 10 pieces jumbo shrimps
- 1/2 Tbsp. sake
- 1/2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 5 Tbsp. oil
- 1 piece ginger, minced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 3 Hawaiian chili peppers, seeded and chopped
- 1 stalk green onion, chopped
Sauce:
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. sake
- 2 Tbsp. catsup
- 1/2 tsp. katakuriko (potato starch)
Remove veins from shrimps by cutting top of shell. Remove pointed tip near tail of shrimps. Wash and drain well. Soak shrimps in sake and soy sauce for 30 minutes. Heat 5 Tbsp. oil, add minced ginger, garlic and chili pepper. Cook until garlic becomes brown. Add shrimp and cook about 2 minutes. Combine ingredients for sauce and add to shrimps; cook over high heat for about 1 to 2 minutes. Remove and garnish with green onions.
