Gee Yuk Sin Choy (Pork With Sour Cabbage)
- 3-4 lb. pork, sliced 1/8 inch thick, bite size
- Oil for frying
- 1 stalk celery, sliced
- 1 round onion, sliced
- 1 lb. sour cabbage (see recipe below) sliced
- 2 tbsp. shoyu
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 2 tbsp. vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. ajinomoto (MSG)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
Fry pork in oil until tender. Add celery and onion. Cook for a few minutes and add next six ingredients. Make a paste of 2 teaspoons of cornstarch in 1/4 cup water. Add to cabbage mixture, cook until sauce is clear and serve.
