Gee Yuk Sin Choy (Pork With Sour Cabbage)

  • 3-4 lb. pork, sliced 1/8 inch thick, bite size
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 stalk celery, sliced
  • 1 round onion, sliced
  • 1 lb. sour cabbage (see recipe below) sliced
  • 2 tbsp. shoyu
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 2 tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. ajinomoto (MSG)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water

Fry pork in oil until tender. Add celery and onion. Cook for a few minutes and add next six ingredients. Make a paste of 2 teaspoons of cornstarch in 1/4 cup water. Add to cabbage mixture, cook until sauce is clear and serve.
