Fried Gau Gee

Yields: 35-40 gaugee

  • 1/2 lb. ground pork
  • 6 medium-sized shrimps, cleaned, deveined, chopped
  • 1/4 c. green onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. oyster sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. sesame seed oil
  • 1/2 tsp. shoyu
  • 8 water chestnuts, minced
  • 1 pkg. wun tun wrappers
  • Oil for frying
  1. Combine filling ingredients.
  2. Place 1 teaspoonful of filling in the center of wun tun wrappers.
  3. Fold in half forming a rectangle.
  4. Seal edges with water by pressing firmly.
  5. Deep fry in hot oil at 365° (medium high heat) until golden brown and crisp. Drain on paper towel.
