Fried Aku Burgers

Mrs. Doris Haraguchi – Ohea

  • Fresh aku
  • 1 egg
  • 1½ c bread crumbs or 2 c cold mashed potato
  • 5 stalks green onions or 1 round onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Clean fresh aku, discarding bones and skin. Shred with fork or potato masher. Season with salt and pepper. Add other ingredients and shape into patties. Fry and serve immediately. Leftover Aku-burgers may be cooked with shoyu, sugar, water and ajinomoto.
