Deviled Short Ribs
- 4 lbs. beef short ribs or stew meat
- 1 tbsp. brown sugar
- ½ tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- ¾ cup ketchup (pineapple vinegar tastes better)
- ¼ cup shoyu
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- ½ cup water
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 onion, chopped (optional)
Brown short ribs on all sides. Pour off drippings. Combine all ingredients. Pour over ribs, cover tightly and bake for about 2 hours at 350 degrees. Serves four.
