Oranges
A. Cut orange into eighths
Peel almost to end and roll peel under segment
B. Cut orange into fourths
Slice from both sides to center
Slide slices to side
Yokan
- Slice ¾–1” pieces
- Cut diagonally along one side half way of slice
- Turn slice and cut diagonally along other side
- Stick knife in center of yokan slice between the two slanting slits
- Pull apart to get 2 pieces
Yokan, Eggs, or Kamaboko
- Cut yokan or kamaboko into thick slices
- Holding one end of thread tightly, zigzag thread in the middle of slice of egg all around. Pull apart to get two interestingly cut pieces.
