Chess Pie

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • Salt, pinch
  • 3 Eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Raisins
  • 1 cup Walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 Pie Shell, unbaked

Cream butter, sugar and salt. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Add remaining ingredients, mix well and pour into pie shell.

Bake in a preheated 375° oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350° and bake for 30 minutes or until done (a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean).
