Candied Papaia

Line casserole with peeled firm ripe papaias cut into serving pieces. Sprinkle with brown sugar and dot with butter. Sprinkle with a little lemon juice and place a few cloves on top layer. Bake until fruit is tender and clear. Serve as a vegetable.
