Fruit Salad

Mrs. Fusae Nakakura – Haina

  • 4 slices pineapple
  • 1 orange
  • 2 peaches
  • 1 banana
  • 1/4 lb white grapes
  • 1 jar cherries
  • 1/4 lb blanched almonds
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 30 marshmallows

Peel fruits and cut into cubes. Halve grapes and remove seeds. Shred almonds lengthwise. Shred celery and blanch in ice water to which a little lemon juice has been added. Quarter marshmallows and cherries. Drain fruit well, mix lightly and arrange on lettuce leaves.
