Butter Cake

Pan Size: 9×13-inch pan
Baking Time: 40 minutes
Temperature: 350°

Cake:

  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 c. cake flour
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Frosting:

  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 c. powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice

Cake:

  1. Beat the butter.
  2. Add the sugar and beat well.
  3. Sift the dry ingredients.
  4. Add beaten eggs to creamed butter and sugar.
  5. Add the dry ingredients alternating with the milk.
  6. Add the vanilla.
  7. Bake in a greased 9×13-inch pan for 40 minutes at 350°.

Frosting:

  1. Cream the butter and sugar well.
  2. Add the drained pineapple and lemon juice.
  3. Frost the completely cooled cake.

NOTE: Cake gets very high so be certain that the pan is high enough.
