Butter Cake
Pan Size: 9×13-inch pan
Baking Time: 40 minutes
Temperature: 350°
Cake:
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 c. cake flour
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Frosting:
- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 small can crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
Cake:
- Beat the butter.
- Add the sugar and beat well.
- Sift the dry ingredients.
- Add beaten eggs to creamed butter and sugar.
- Add the dry ingredients alternating with the milk.
- Add the vanilla.
- Bake in a greased 9×13-inch pan for 40 minutes at 350°.
Frosting:
- Cream the butter and sugar well.
- Add the drained pineapple and lemon juice.
- Frost the completely cooled cake.
NOTE: Cake gets very high so be certain that the pan is high enough.
