Brown Coconut Candy

  • 1 cup grated coconut sugar
  • 1½ cups brown sugar
  • ½ cup evaporated milk
  • 2 tbsp. corn syrup (either dark or white)
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients except butter and vanilla and put to boil on a high heat. Boil until it forms a thread (228°).

Remove from fire and add butter and vanilla. Stir until creamy and drop by teaspoons on buttered pan.

Makes approximately 18 pieces.
