Banana Crunch Pie

  • 6 cups banana chunks
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup soft butter or margarine
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell

Combine bananas with lemon juice; let stand for 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In small bowl combine flour and brown sugar; cut in butter. Add sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg to bananas; mix gently. Put bananas into pie shell. Top with flour mixture, spreading crumbs to the edges of the pie. Bake for 40 minutes.

Yield: 8 servings
