Ebi No Mizore Ae

  • 1/2 pound frozen shrimps
  • 2 medium daikon
  • Some amazu

Cook shrimp in salted water. Shell and slice into 4 pieces. Peel daikon and grate. Pour off excess water. Mix sliced shrimp and grated daikon with enough amazu to suit taste.

Instead of boiled shrimps, cocktail oysters may be used. Thaw, rinse and drain water before mixing with grated daikon and amazu.

Amazu:

  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon gourmet powder

Mix well and keep on hand in covered jar.
