Sweet-Sour Won Bok Rolls

  • 1-1/2 lb. ground pork
  • 2 T chopped green onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped water chestnuts
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 3 T soy sauce
  • 2 t salt
  • 12 won bok leaves, blanched
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 T vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 T cornstarch

Combine pork, green onion, water chestnuts, egg, 1 tablespoon of the soy sauce and salt; mix well. Place 1/4 cup of filling on each won bok leaf; roll.

Place won bok rolls in skillet; add water and simmer 45 minutes, covered.

Arrange rolls on serving platter. Combine remaining ingredients and add to liquid in skillet. Simmer until gravy thickens, stirring constantly. Pour over won bok rolls. Makes 6 servings.
