Stuffed Bitter Melon

  • 4 med. bitter melons
  • ½ lb. ground pork
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 small round onion (chopped fine)
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ tsp. ajinomoto
  • 1 tbsp. corn starch

Wash bitter melons and cut both ends. Cut into 1½ inch lengths and remove seeds. Mix other ingredients well and stuff in bitter melons. Place melons in a bowl and steam until cooked, about 45 min. to an hour. Serve while hot, plain or with catsup.
