Pancit

  • 1 package fine noodles
  • 1 tbsp. shortening
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 lb. pork, cubed
  • ½ lb. shrimp
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • Dash of pepper
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce

Cook noodles in a generous amount of boiling salted water until tender; drain thoroughly.

Melt shortening in skillet and saute garlic. Add onions and saute lightly, stir in pork and cook until lightly browned. Add shrimp and seasonings and saute until pork and shrimp are thoroughly cooked.

Stir in soy sauce and cooked noodles. Garnish with chopped Chinese parsley and green onions. Makes six servings.
