Okinawa-Style Pork

  • Boston Butt (10 lbs.)
  • 4 cups shoyu
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 2¼ cups brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. monosodium glutamate
  • ginger, garlic (3)

Combine above ingredients. Put pork into mixture and cook for 1 to 1½ hours, medium heat until mixture boils, then on low until pork is cooked.
