Beef and Shiratake

  • 1 lb. beef
  • 1 can Shiratake
  • 1 medium size round onion
  • 3 tbsp. shoyu
  • 1 tbsp. sake
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. sake
  • ½ tsp. monosodium glutamate
  • 1 tbsp. shoyu

Cut beef into thin bite size pieces. Put into a frying pan, 3 tbsp. shoyu, 2 tbsp. sugar, 1 tbsp. sake and ½ tsp. monosodium glutamate and heat. Add beef and cook until half done. Remove beef from sauce. Add onions and 1 tbsp. each of shoyu and sake. Then add shiratake. Cook until onion is done. Add the half cooked beef and cook until done.
