Easy Oven Stew
- 2 – 3 lb. chuck, cut in 1″ chunks
- 1 medium can stewed tomatoes
- 1 pkg. frozen stew vegetables
- 1 1/2 c. dry red wine
- 1/4 c. shoyu
- 1 c. water
- 2 onions, cut in large pieces
- 1 tsp. Hawaiian red salt
- 1 box frozen peas
Mix all except frozen peas in a covered casserole or Dutch oven and bake 3 – 3 1/2 hours in a 300 oven or until beef is fork tender. Frozen peas are added just at the end to heat up. Watch liquid now and then while baking.
Serves approx. 6 – 8 people.
