Chinese Roast Pork

Mrs. Fumiko Segawa – Ilima

  • 4 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 T honey
  • 2 T soy sauce
  • 1 c bouillon
  • 1 clove garlic (grated)
  • 1 small piece ginger (grated)

Mix all ingredients together. Pour the sauce over the meat and let it soak in it for 1 hour, turning the roast now and then. Roast in moderate oven, (350° F), for 2 1/2 hours, basting frequently with sauce. 3 T vinegar may be added to sauce for a sweet-sour flavor.
