Fresh Codfish Fillets

  • 1 lb. codfish fillets
  • 3/4 cup olive oil
  • 3/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 tsp. ground pepper

Batter:

  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 3 T flour
  • 1 T oil
  • 1 egg

Slice fillets into uniform strips. Mix oil, vinegar and pepper well. Marinate fish in this sauce for 2 hours, turning at least twice. Mix batter by beating all ingredients well. Dip drained fish into batter and fry in hot oil. Serves 4.
