Barbecued Fish

6 to 8 servings

  • 1 (3- to 4-pound) whole fish
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onion
  • Soyu sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter or cooking oil
  • 1 cup catsup
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • Dash of pepper

Rub fish lightly with soyu sauce; place in greased shallow pan. Lightly brown onion in fat; add remaining ingredients; simmer 5 minutes; pour over fish. Bake in a 425-degree oven 35 to 40 minutes.
