Sweet Sour Spareribs

  • 2 lb spareribs
  • 2 Tbsp shoyu
  • 1 Tbsp ginger
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup water
  • pepper

Fry ribs on low heat for 20 minutes. Drain fat. Fry ribs with garlic. Add rest of ingredients and cook on low heat until tender. Thicken with 1 Tbsp cornstarch. Add thinly sliced carrot and turnip.
