Russian Dills

Slice cucumbers lengthwise. Cover with water and let stand at least 2 hours:
Brine:
- 2 c vinegar
- 4 c sugar
- 1/2c salt
- 1 T mixed spices
Combine and let it come to a boil. Place dill in the bottom of each jar. Pack drained cucumbers firmly in jar and pour hot brine. Seal.
