Pickled Turnips and Carrots
- 1 medium turnip
- 1 medium carrot
- ½ tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- ¼ cup water
- 2 tbsp. vinegar
Peel and cut turnip and carrot into very thin slices. Add salt and sugar and mix well. Let stand 30 minutes, then press out excess liquid. Add water and vinegar and allow to stand 30 minutes. Drain and arrange on platter. Pour hot spareribs over vegetables.
