Mango Custard Pie

Mrs. Iwalani Kamoku – Huatani

  • 1 c cooked, strained pulp (about 10 under ripe mangoes)
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 c milk
  • 1 c sugar (more if needed)
  • Nutmeg
  • Unbaked pie crust

Stew the mangoes until soft and strain through a sieve. Beat eggs slightly, add sugar and milk. Add fruit pulp to custard mixture. Pour into unbaked crust and sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake at 325° F. for about 25 minutes or until custard sets.
