Laizy Daizy Cake
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tbsp. butter
Beat eggs with electric beater till fluffy. Gradually add sugar, continuing to beat.
Add butter to milk and heat till butter melts.
Add flour all at once with baking powder and salt to the sugar and egg mixture. Stir till smooth.
Add milk and butter mixture. Mix well.
Pour into greased 8” x 8” square cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and spread Laizy Daizy Icing on top and broil till bubbly.
Laizy Daizy Icing
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 4 tbsp. soft butter or oleo
- 1/3 cup cream
- 1 cup shredded coconut
Mix and spread on cake.
