Granola
- 4 c. rolled oats
- 1/2 c. milk powder
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 c. wheat germ
- 1/4 c. + 2 tbsp. oil or melted margarine
- 1/4 c. + 2 tbsp. honey
- 1/2 c. raisins or other dried fruits
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- Mix dry rolled oats, milk powder, wheat germ and spices.
- Mix oil and honey together. Add to dry ingredients. Mix well and spread on cookie sheet or shallow pan.
- Place in oven. Turn every 5-10 minutes until brown and crisp – about 30 minutes.
- Add raisins or other fruit and nuts after cooking.
- Store in air-tight container. Makes 4 cups.
