Granola

  • 4 c. rolled oats
  • 1/2 c. milk powder
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 c. wheat germ
  • 1/4 c. + 2 tbsp. oil or melted margarine
  • 1/4 c. + 2 tbsp. honey
  • 1/2 c. raisins or other dried fruits
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  1. Mix dry rolled oats, milk powder, wheat germ and spices.
  2. Mix oil and honey together. Add to dry ingredients. Mix well and spread on cookie sheet or shallow pan.
  3. Place in oven. Turn every 5-10 minutes until brown and crisp – about 30 minutes.
  1. Add raisins or other fruit and nuts after cooking.
  2. Store in air-tight container. Makes 4 cups.
