- 2 c. sugar (or white Karo syrup)
- 2 c. water
- 1 oz. Strega Extract (available in Italian delicatessens)
- 1 whole vanilla bean
- 1 qt. 80 or 100 proof Vodka
Bring the water and sugar to a boil and thoroughly dissolve sugar. Cool. Mix all together. Let stand under the sink about 90 days. Makes 1 1/2 quarts.
