Easy Bun with Black Beans

  • 1 pkg. yeast roll mix
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 – 1 lb. can Tsubushian*
  • 1/4 c. evaporated milk

Prepare roll mix according to package directions; let rise until doubled, about 45 minutes. Turn out on floured board and knead briefly. Roll out to 3/8 inch thickness; cut with 2 1/2 inch cutter. Mix salt into Tsubushian. Put about 1 Tbsp. Tsubushian in center of dough. From into buns by pulling dough up around filling; seal seams. Place buns with smooth side up on an oiled baking sheet. Let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes. Brush with milk. Bake at 400 degrees F. for 12 to 15 minutes.

Yield: 16 to 18 buns.

*Tsubushian: Prepared red beans.
