Willard Wong’s Bran Muffins

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 blocks margarine
  • 3 cups flour
  • 6 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 pkg. (3 biscuits) shredded wheat
  • 2 cups bran buds
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)

Cream sugar and margarine. Mix flour and baking powder together; add shredded wheat and bran buds. Mix milk and eggs. Alternately add flour mixture and milk-egg mixture to creamed sugar and margarine. If wanted, add raisins.

Bake 1/2 hour at 375º to 400º in greased muffin tins. Makes 2 dozen.
