Easy Yaki Manju
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. salad oil
- 6 Tbsp. ice water
- 1 c. Koshi or Tsubushi An
Combine flour, sugar and salt. Add oil and ice water to dry ingredients. Shape dough into small balls – about 1 Tbsp. of dough. Flatten dough to form a circle. Place a generous teaspoonful of “An” in center of dough and seal. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 400 degrees F. 30 – 35 minutes. For shiny surface, brush top with cream, 5 minutes before done.
