Dobash Cake

  • 1 box Devils Food Cake
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 can 7-Up
  • 1/2 C. oil
  • 3/4 C. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 C. water, divided
  • 1/4 C. butter
  • 1/3 C. cornstarch
  • 1/2 C. Nestlé’s Quick Chocolate

Preheat the oven to 350°. Mix the cake mix, eggs, 7-Up and oil together for 2 to 3 minutes. Pour into 9″x13″ pan. Bake for 35 minutes. For frosting, in small pan, combine the sugar, salt, 1 C. water, and butter. Cook until it comes to a boil. Combine the cornstarch, remaining 1/2 C. water and the Nestlé’s Quick Chocolate. Add chocolate mixture to the frosting, constantly stirring until slightly thick. Cool frosting for 5 minutes then frost cake.
