Chinese Pot Roast

Diane Dutton Keliipio, Class of 1962

  • 3 lb beef
  • 1/4 cup shoyu
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 slice ginger
  • 1 clove garlic

Place beef in heavy pot or Dutch oven with other ingredients. Simmer over low heat for 3 hours. Turn roast when half done.
