Butaniku No Satsuma-Age (Fried Pork Pieces)

  • 1½ pounds lean pork
  • ½ cup shoyu
  • ½ cup sake
  • ½ cup mirin
  • Grated ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon gourmet powder
  • Flour
  • Frying oil

Cut pork into bite-size pieces. Mix shoyu, sake, mirin, ginger and gourmet powder to make sauce. Soak pork pieces in sauce for 1 hour. Pour sauce out, rinse pork, and dry on paper towel. Dredge in flour and deep fry. Drain on paper towel and serve hot.
