Barbecued Meat

Hui Manaolana

Servings 4

  • 1 lb. meat

Slice meat, soak in sauce for 1/2 hour. If slices are thicker, soak longer. Baste while broiling. (Charcoal fire preferred)

Teriyaki sauce

  • 1/2 cup shoyu
  • 1 tablespoon sake
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (grated)
  • 1 clove garlic (grated)

Mix above ingredients well.

VARIATION: Frying chicken and pork spareribs cut in pieces, may be soaked overnight and broiled over charcoal or in the broiler until thoroughly done.
