Shrimp Dip

From Dale M. Hall, Unit 3, DOT, Oahu

This recipe is from my mother-in-law, who did a lot of entertaining because my father-in-law was a colonel in the Marines. It seems to be a hit with everyone!

  • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese
  • 1 41/4-ounce can cocktail shrimp
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon finely minced onion
  • 6-8 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 4 teaspoons lemon juice
  • Ritz crackers

Let cream cheese stand at room temperature for 1 hour. Shred shrimp into bowl. Add cheese and a little juice from the can of shrimp. Mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste, onion, Tabasco sauce, and lemon juice, and mix well. Chill. Serve with Ritz crackers.
