Butter Pretzels
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 egg yolks, beaten
- 1 egg white, beaten stiff
- ½ tsp. lemon extract
- 2¼ to 2½ cups sifted flour
Cream butter, add sugar gradually and mix well. Add egg yolks, stiffly beaten egg white and extract. Gradually add flour, blending in well. Put through a cooky press onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 400 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes.
Yield: 5 dozen.
