Refrigerator Nut Cookies #2

  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. water
  • 3¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Cream butter; add sugar and beat until creamy. Beat eggs and add. Dissolve soda in water and add to sugar mixture. Sift salt with flour twice and add to above mixture; mix well. Add vanilla and nuts. Line loaf pan with waxed paper; pack in cooky mixture. Chill overnight in refrigerator. Next day slice thin. Place on lightly greased baking sheet and bake in 325 degrees oven for 10 to 15 minutes.

Cooky mixture may be kept for several days in the refrigerator.
