Buttermilk Biscuit

  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

Mix in large mixing bowl. Set aside.

  • 1 block margarine
  • 3 tsp. Crisco
  • 3/4 c. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs

Cut in margarine with Crisco. Add buttermilk and eggs. Mix all together. Add to dry ingredients. Mix until just combined; do not over mix. (Lumps OK.) Drop biscuits on slightly greased cookie sheet or into muffin pan. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds. Bake for 15 minutes in 400 degree oven. Makes 1 dozen biscuits.
