Papaya Warabi Salad
- Handful warabi stalks, parboiled
- 3 cups coarsely grated unripe papaya
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 small chili pepper, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. fish sauce
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. crushed peanuts
- Pepper to taste
- Lettuce and cabbage leaves
- 1/2 tomato, sliced
Mix grated papaya and chopped warabi with garlic, chili, fish sauce, lemon juice and peanuts. Season with pepper. Serve on a bed of lettuce and cabbage leaves. Garnish with slices of tomato. Serves 4.
