Prune Cracked Seed
- 6 pounds prunes (6 packages)
- 3 tbsp. Hawaiian salt (rock salt)
- ½ tbsp. Chinese cloves
- Juice of 12 lemons
- 1 pound brown or white sugar
- 2 dried Chinese lemons
- 2 tsp. 5 spices
Crack prunes, add all other ingredients and cook for about an hour on low flame. Stir often. Cook until mixture thickens. Pour into sterilized jars, after the mixture is cold.
