Microwave Gau

  • 1 Lb Chinese Brown Sugar
  • 2 1/2 Cups Water
  • 1 Box Mochiko (16 oz. box)
  • 1 Can Coconut Milk (13 ½ oz.)
  • 1/4 Cup Oil
  • Sesame Seeds

1. Boil water and sugar until dissolved. Cool.

2. Add coconut milk and mix. Mix in mochiko until smooth. Blend in oil.

3. Pour into a greased microwave bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and poke a hole to vent the steam.

4. Microwave on high for 18 minutes. Cool slightly before inverting onto a plate. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
