Okara Nira

  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 bunch nira (chives)
  • 1 cup shrimp stock
  • 3 cups okara

Pour oil in skillet and heat. Add okara, stirring constantly. When partially dry, add chives which have been washed and cut into 1 or 1½ inch lengths. Keep stirring and cook until okara is rather dry.

Ingredients:

  • 1 konnyaku
  • 7-8 pieces of dried mushrooms
  • 1/2 of one gobo
  • 1 aburage
  • 1/2 stick of chikuwa
  • 1 cup carrots

Soak mushrooms in a little water after washing them and cut into fine strips. Clean gobo and cut into fine shavings. Parboil and drain. Cut other ingredients into fine strips.

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and add 1 cup stock, 5 tablespoons sugar, 4 teaspoons salt, 1 teaspoon shoyu, 1/2 teaspoon gourmet powder. Cook until carrots are done.

Add cooked ingredients to okara and mix well.
