Sweet-Sour Sauce with Pineapple for Spareribs, Meat & Seafood
- 1 clove garlic, grated fine
- 1 piece ginger root, grated fine
- 1/3 c. cider vinegar
- 1/3 – 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. shoyu
- 1 c. pineapple juice, or one whole small pineapple, chopped fine
Boil the above sauce and adjust the flavor to suit you. Cook Boston butt sliced in 3/8 inch pieces. Cook until tender about 3/4 of an hour. Sauce can be poured over cooked chicken or cooked fish.
