Bruschetta (Italian Appetizer)

  • 1 bunch fresh basil
  • 1/2 med. red onion
  • 5 ripe but firm tomatoes
  • 1/4 c. olive oil
  • Salt, to taste

Finely chop the basil and red onion; place in a bowl large enough for all the ingredients, with room to stir. Dice tomatoes. Put into bowl. Add olive oil. Stir. Add salt to taste. Serve with sliced French bread or Musso’s cheese and garlic toast (found in the deli section of your grocery store).
